Privacy Policy

Pilgrim Path (“the App”) is a personal companion for planning pilgrimages, following stages, saving sacred places, and keeping reflections and memories. This Privacy Policy explains what information the App processes and how it is handled.
Information we process
The App is designed to keep your journey content on your device. Depending on how you use it, this may include:
- Journey titles, stages, checkpoints, intentions and status
- Place names, notes, visit history and favorites
- Photos, reflections and timeline moments you add
- Collections, search history within the App, and display preferences (units, appearance)
- Optional location-related context when you choose to use map features on your device
Where data is stored
Journey content is stored locally on your device. We do not require an account to use the App. If you use export features, you create a file that you control (for example JSON or CSV). We do not operate a Pilgrim Path cloud sync service for your archive in the current version.
Permissions
The App may request access to photos or the camera when you add moments, and to location when you use map context. You can deny or revoke these permissions in system settings. Denying a permission may limit related features without blocking the rest of the App.
Analytics and advertising
The App does not include third-party advertising SDKs for showing ads in the experience described here. Any future change that meaningfully affects data practices will be reflected in an updated Privacy Policy.
Children
The App is not directed at children under 13 (or the minimum age required in your region). Do not submit personal information of children through the App.
Your choices
- Edit or delete journeys, places, notes and photos inside the App
- Export your archive if you want a personal backup
- Clear App data by removing the App from your device (this deletes local content)

Common topics
- Creating a journey: Start with a name, location and first stage — details can be added later.
- Active walking: Open your journey, continue the current stage, mark checkpoints, and add moments.
- Places & map: Visited and saved places appear in Places; the Map view shows context for stops.
- Export: Use Settings to export your archive as JSON or CSV for a personal backup.
- Sample content: You can explore a sample journey or reset demo data from Settings.

We aim to reply within a few business days. If your message is about data or privacy, mention “Privacy” in the subject line so we can prioritize it.
App Store information
Pilgrim Path is distributed through the Apple App Store. For billing or download issues tied to your Apple ID, Apple Support may also be able to help.
